Description

This is my original page by Richard Corben from the comic Hellboy Double feature of evil page 11. Richard Corben drew and wrote some of the creepiest things in comics. When he was announced to draw some Hellboy stories, I was more than excited. But after seeing and reading Hellboy the crooked man, it honestly crept me out a little. I loved that feeling while reading it. I can�t remember the last comic that did. Everything just felt off an unsettling. You weren�t sure if Hellboy was going to save the people or not. Even in this page here, it just feels tense. Hellboy constantly in shadow. His shadow reflecting on the wall is my favorite part of this page. Something little like that just adds to the mystery and keeps me on the edge of my seat.

You are missed Richard Corben, RIP.

The Mignolaverse was blessed with one of the most accomplished legends in all of indie comics! His storytelling is on point and has haunting images for every panel.

Stunning page! I absolutely love Corben's work on Hellboy, especially The Crooked Man.

What a stupendous page! It is up to this point that Sullivan seems a genuine, albeit seedy, guy in need of Hellboy's help; and then you see him reach for something in his inside jacket pocket. Thank you for posting this excellent page.
