Very nice! The early Caniff strips had a period charm, in that style that still owed a lot to Noel Sickles. The first panel is quite powerful.

The angle taken in the first panel is very unique for a strip that usually has the one direct view.

Great looking Terry. Burma was always unpredictible and aloof. I think this era is my favorite for how Caniff drew Burma, much lighter lines giving her a more carefree atmosphere in keeping with her personality.

Hilarious! The Caniff of 1936 was very different indeed from the Caniff of 1946 that ended the strip, each with its own appeal. And Terry looks so young here! Seeing this, it's strange to think that in later scenes between these two characters, Caniff flirted with sexual innuendo that was arguably quite graphic for the period.
