From 1983 when the series was originally going to be done by Perez! He never gave up on this quest and this is one of those pieces that showed us how it would have looked.
Wow. Breathtaking piece.
An absolute stunner. His penciled and inked covers gave us a clear, open window into how his art was supposed to look like. It was leagues ahead of all other art he did that unfortunately had to be inked by other people.
Absolutely wonderful images of the teams - love the choice of the black space background emphasizing the cosmic proportions of the team-up. A prime example of Perez at his best!
