DescriptionRecent purchase on Dueling Dealers from Mike. I missed 90% of the episode, and logged on at the start of the recap. It immediately caught my eye, though I was not familiar with the artist or the book. It is the New York ComicCon exclusive cover to Broken Pieces #1It's pencil only and the inks were done digitally, so it is the only piece of this cover art out there. . The actual cover is very dark, I mean is is a zombie horror book, and the pencils looked so light on the show, I immediately began planning to get a blue line inked to get the dark feel of the cover as well. I must say though, after getting the original art in my hands it is truly fantastic as it is. Even better in person than what I saw on the show. I still my have a blue line inked one day in Homage to the cover, we'll see. Hats off to Alex, as this is truly fantastic work. I'm a fan! Social/Sharing |

Horror art is very representative of the current comics climate and having one with a classic trope of a woman in peril is timeless.

Very much reminiscent of EC horror covers and this has a great horror/angst feel...Outstanding pickup!
