Welcome back to Shemp's Gallery. Week four of Tom Grummett appreciation month.

I'm going to keep this one short and just let the artwork speak for itself.

The Suicide Squad by Tom Grummett.

Wow! Nightshade, Enchantress, Rick Flagg, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Bronze Tiger and of course Amanda Waller. I had a hell of a time picking which characters I wanted, there were so many good ones to choose from. These characters are the ones I think of when I think of the Suicide Squad.

John Ostrander wrote a masterful series featuring a rotating line up of villains. All the while, fleshing out the mainstays, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Bronze Tiger and Amanda Waller. Never have I cared so much about the bad guys. Love everything about this commission. Thanks again to Messrs Hamm and Grummett.

Your streak of awesome Grummett pieces continues. These characters in these costumes are what will always come first to mind when anyone mentions the Suicide Squad to me.

Another stunningly splendid commission. The entire thing is wonderful, but I really love how Tom went out of his norm to do all that detailed crosshatching on Nightshade's costume in particular. Sweet!

With the cave and rocky exterior backgrounds, they all look like they can connect.
