"The idea in my sketchbook. I was picturing large cancerous growths all around his head"

"Sketched out in watercolor pencil on multimedia paper"

"Some quick washes with watercolor"

"Then I started layering in thin washes with acrylic Gouache."

"More wash and colored pencil work. Then I tried a light background. I liked it, but still decided to try it with a black background. I think I like the final black background better."
