PEN AND INK

A MATTED FRAMED AND GLAZED STUNNING BOLD SKETCH OF “WILD THING” MOISHE SAYING “BOO!” Dated and SIGNED by Maurice Sendak “Maurice Sendak / Nov. 24, 84”

THE ART IS IN FINE CONDITION, FULLY MATTED AND FRAMED TO A FINISHED SIZE OF: 15.75″ X 13.5″

A beautiful original large and bold over-sized head drawing in pen and ink of Moishe, one of the Wild Things, saying “BOO!”, signed by Maurice Sendak. Framed to a completed size of 15.5″ x 13.5″. Matted art size of 6.5″ x 4.25″. The art was matted and framed with a stunning gun metal toned frame which fully sets off the art. The piece was framed using fully archival materials and UV glass for full protection and preservation.

This piece is penned in vibrant, bold ink with strong contrast, and is SIGNED by Maurice Sendak lower center.

PROVENANCE: Accompanied by an Letter of Authenticity from University Archives, John Reznikoff, one of the premier authenticators for PSA, James Spence, Among other auction houses.

The art is in great condition, and is set off beautifully in the frame.

** Maurice Sendak donated all of his original book illustrations to the Rosenbach Foundation in Philadelphia leaving very little of his original artwork available for private purchase.
