DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!10.5x16" thin art board featuring original pencil art by noted comic book artist Curt Swan (1920-1996), best known as the artist most associated w/Superman titles during the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of comic books. Swan produced hundreds of covers and stories from the 1950s through the 1980s. Offered here is the original art for page 13 of "Superman" #281, published by N.P.P. in November 1974. Issue was written by Cary Bates w/interior art by Curt Swan and inks by Bob Oksner. Storyline "Mystery Mission To Metropolis". Five panel page shows Superman in all panels fighting Vartox (a crime fighter from another world) which later turns out to be a vision of the future. N.P.P. copyright stamp on back. Scattered handling wear/aging. Aged tape at top and at bottom. Signed by Curt Swan. VF. Social/Sharing |
