DescriptionTime to go cosmic, Folks!...In a far distant corner of the universe, Thanos and his improbable ally, Pip the Troll (an absolute favorite of mine!) depart the scene of their latest Infinity Gems skirmish (this one heavily involving Galactus), pondering the situation on board of the Sanctuary while said Gems spectacularly explode away. Thus said, it might look a trifle mundane, but this is in fact a gorgeous breathtaling double page splash mixing art and collage to maximum impact in the pure King Kirby tradition! The blend of the collage and the space ship is seemless! Thanos looks even more mighty commanding and ruling in this more photographic vastness of space.

Thanks Marcus! You are right, the whole montage is perfectly assembled. This is much more impressive than the printed page, despite the great coloring. And yes, this slimmer/less bulky approach to Thanos does give him an extra layer of authority. Heck, even Pip the Troll almost looks like a credible hero here!
