Description

ComicsValue.com explains that the Big Hero 6 team first appeared in Sunfire and Big Hero 6 #1 mini-series by Lobdell & Vasquez (September 1998), though the team was originally created by Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau in the pages of Alpha Flight 17. That issue sparked interest in a mini-series which Seagle and Rouleau did not have time to create, thus Scott Lobdell and Gus Vasquez were assigned the mini-series. Scheduling issues resulted in the mini-series appearing before Alpha Flight #17, though the Alpha Flight issue was chronologically their first appearance in the Marvel Universe canon.

I am very lucky to be the caretaker of this historic cover.
But, sometimes we create our own luck.
By being a long-time fan of Duncan's work, I was focused to seek out his pages. 15 years ago, I was able to "scoop" up this cover (along with 2 interior pages and 2 other Alpha Flight covers...to be posted to CAF at a later date).

Duncan's art is dynamic and very stylish.
I feel his art is very under-rated....which works out better for me :)

I was extremely happy to meet Steve Seagle and Duncan Rouleau at the 2019 Emerald City Comic con where they signed this cover. See the additional pic of Duncan signing his splash page to Emperor Joker that I am the caretaker for.

Very nice cover. Lots of action throughout, keeping the viewer engaged no matter where I choose to dive in!
