Great flashback 2nd panel where she thinks back. If this was a Whedon TV show, cue the Edwin McCain, "I'll be" music to play even if it makes no sense because the WB was all about mood just like this page has an abundance of.

Beautiful. This was a fantastic way to start out this series, and Joss and John let us enter and discover this run hand-in-hand with Kitty as she returns to the mansion after lots of time away. A wonderfully nostalgic moment in panel 2, beautifully executed, but I think Cassaday's triumph here is in his depiction of Kitty as a young woman in panel 3; no longer the teenybopper of the past - older, wiser, and ready for the next chapter - just as all of us were as readers. The arc of their 'Astonishing X-Men' run followed Kitty from beginning to end, and it all started here. Outstanding work - great pick up - congrats!
