DescriptionFew books from the 80s mirrored my maturing as a comics reader as much as Omega Men. And these first Giffen issues were mind blowing. The backstory on Broot was so devastating, as shown by this page, that it felt like no other book on the market.And, Giffen was inbetween his mainstream early work on LSH and where he evolved over the next decade. For me, this is an great example of how important it is for a penciller to be matched up with a suitable inker. I hate the work DeCarlo did over Pérez on New Teen Titans, but I love it over Giffen on Omega Men. Very nice Broot focused page.

This was a terrific era for Giffen. Not as fond of his subsequent stylings

Wow, what an amazing page! I remember picking this book up as a kid (I was 12 I think) and just being gobsmacked. Along with Swamp Thing, Omega Men was so far beyond what any of the other Marvel or DC books I was reading.
