Goddamn do I love this page! It sat on splashpageart for years and not long ago I had to pull the trigger or knew I'd regret it. There are no full splash pages from the issue making this the defacto.

The 1st appearance of Beta also happens to be a kick-ass Negan page. The build up to the meeting is epic: Negan is mocking the Whisperers and asking if they're really human Russian nesting dolls (dogs under the human skin). Beta creeps up behind him asking "You weren't sent?'. Negan replies "sent?", and que this page. While there were plenty of antagonists in the series, Beta was the final "official" villain and the tallest; towering over Negan. Oh, and also wearing a HUMAN SKIN HELMET!

Issue 115-192 TWD interior pgs have pencils and inked bluelines on separate boards. That made me hesitate picking this up. But in time I realized this is what exists for the original art, so it's this or nothing. The nice caveat is they are on larger 11x17" boards unlike the smaller 8.5"x14" boards Adlard used from issues 36-114. Gaudiano also enlarged Adlard's blueline pencils closer to the page edges making his inked blueline pages some of the largest published TWD art available.

Negan pages need his dialogue- that's what makes him such an endearing character. So I created an overlay to display the word balloons for the inked page that is framed on my wall while the penciled page is tucked away in a portfolio.

The previous number one villian verbally confronts the newer number one villian, classic. Yeah I agree this one needs the word balloons. Great pick up. Congrats.
