Description

Spinning off the pages of X-Men and Amazing Spider-Man, it's Dazzler! Heritage is excited to offer this cover from the debut of Alison Blaire, aka Dazzler's own series. This is truly an X-traordinary piece, rich with behind the scenes history that few have had the opportunity to learn. When producing this cover, Bob Larkin had originally painted an image of The Thing in the bubble just below Dazzler's left arm, and the editor who signed off on it was Louise Simonson. But at some point, Jim Shooter asked that instead Enchantress be present in the final production since she was the villain of the story.
The original Enchantress illustration the stat was made from hasn't been seen since production, as it was never returned from Marvel after it was sent for approval. And if that isn't enough trivia for Marvel fans, the painting as originally intended showing the Thing has never been seen by the general public until now!
