Buckingham certainly set the bar high for Fables and elevated the writing with visuals that matched the imaginative tone of fantasy.

Incredible early Fables page, playing with the format of the "usual" vertical decorative page edging and switching (effectively) to vertical... Lovely inking and use of black and white, light and dark here. Congrats, Paul!
