Batman The Dark Knight - Alvaro Bueno Martinez

When my local con - FACTS in Gent - announced Alvaro as one of there main guests I was over the moon... This artists has been blowing doors since I noticed his work on Justice League Dark - he was pretty much on top of my reading pile with every issue he put out. The combination of him with James Tynion IV makes his art even better (somehow?)

I reached out to him on instagram and within a few messages we talked shop over a commission. This time I didn't go for my classic choices like Vision, Beta Ray Bill or Scarlet Witch... Actually it was Kayfabe's episode with David Cho that made me go for The Dark Knight - an homage to Frank Miller.

Alvaro made the references subtle - the scared chin, the short ears... Not a full blown recreation but something even better...
