DescriptionBEHOLD BRILLIANTS!Sal Buscema is a God. Between the years 1975 and 1985 Sal penciled 116 issues of The Incredible Hulk only missing 7 issues during his run. Within these same years he also penciled 57 issues of Rom Space Knight, 13 issues of Nova and the Defenders and was also doing filler issues of other various titles. If that isn't enough to impress you consider the fact that many of these comics were inked by Sal himself. He is the artist I associate with the Hulk more than any other. I remember this page vividly from my youth. That third panel has been etched in my mind for decades and it pops into my head whenever I watch The Avengers movie with the Hulk jumping onto a jet in mid flight. The scene looks like it was taken directly from this page. Right down to the pilot ejecting. I added an image from that Avengers film plus an image from Ang Lee’s Hulk movie where he also catches a ride on a fighter plane. I’ve always enjoyed comic book battles of the Big Green Guy taking on military helicopters and jets. There is also the bonus that this one page has a beginning, middle, and end in its sequence. This was a must have for me. Social/Sharing |

Great Hulk page that shows how scary he can be when he's angry!

Self contained story page, but one that cannot contain our admiration for Sal and can't contain the immense rage the Hulk is feeling! Sal Buscema's artistry brought detailed musclebound power to the page before everyone else bulked up their characters.

Great page. Staton really brought something organic to those inks.

Lots of great Sal energy on this page Michael! Great pick up! I remember buying this off the rack when it was published. Good one!
