Description

in the late 1970s, #nealadams had a huge impact in my art up bringing; his revolutionary hyper-realism style changed the landscape of silver age sequential art, and beyond;

some of his more notable books i grew up with includes: batman 244, conan 37, green lantern/green arrow 85 & 86, x-men 56 & 57, and strange adventures 216 (page 13, bottom panel, anamorphic-writing homage to steranko—“hey a jim steranko effect”, see additional image);

moreover, he fought for creators’ rights; such as getting dc comics to acknowledge and tag jerry siegel and joe shuster as the creators of superman, including for the company to provide them with pensions; and, not to mention, influenced many many artists;

depicted is a photograph i snapped of neal signing my art book at #fanexpo 2013, vancouver, bc;
