Description
Here is another page from the series and I picked this one up because I loved how Groot looked on this page. This setting is in the Continuum Cortex and includes Groot, Bug, Jack Flag, Star-lord and a few random floating workers. I was first introduced to Groot when watching the MCU movies. This Groot is definitely unlike the one I originally got to know; however, I am quite happy with the character design shown on this page. Yes, I know this came first, but for me it was the other way around. I love the extra vining used as slack for Rocket Racoon and Drax on the other side of the fault as well as the additional bundling of vines on the ground. Masterful character design from the creative team and definitely why I am so drawn to Groot pages from this series.

Loved this version of the Guardians and Groot.  Another fabulous page by Walker!

Somewhere beyond the tree
Right here Groot is for me
Brad Walker draws with golden hands
And watches Olazaba inkin’

Somewhere in Galaxy
He’s there Guardians me
If I root vines like legs and thighs
Then straight to this art
Ian go Sainting

You know Groot could have been in the rat pack, but I heard they already had a baritone. "I am Groot. I am Groot? I am Groot... I am Groot!"

Gotta admit, this is one bizarre looking Groot. But it's cool in its own way because of how different the approach is.

Groot has this hair flowing back look going on that screams hey, I am a regal tree alien king and a badass all at the same time.

That is Groot? I don't think I would recognize him had you not said so. But while not traditional, it certainly is an interesting interpretation. Congrats.
