Description

Storm Shadow by Mark Pennington! Mark Pennington worked at Hasbro on G.I.Joe in the 80's and designed more than 75 figures incluidng Snake Eyes v3, Stalker v2, and most importantly (IMO) Storm Shadow v2, and many more. Mark went on to find success in comics too, earning an Eisner Award nomination for best inker.

Generally, I only get commissions from artists who have worked on (Larry Hama's) GI Joe: ARAH series; however, Larry Hama wrote the figure file cards for Hasbro, so it still fits. This particular version/costume of Storm Shadow is my favorite, so when I saw that Mark, the man who created this design, was taking commissions I jumped at the opportunity . Gritty and detailed, Mark delivered an awesome commission of urban camo Storm Shadow in NYC (love the water tower). Thanks again to Mark - this will be in a frame soon!

(Mark also sketched an awesome Sgt. Rock (maybe Sgt. Savage, keeping with the theme of GI Joe) on the cardboard packaging! I cut that out and kept it too, see additional image).
