I've written quite a bit about George, and how great he is (in my heart, he is still here). George's generosity knew no bounds. He gave me this as a gift, and I'll get to how/why at the end, but let me tell the full story, but a little more succinctly than normal.

In 1998, George, Marv Wolfman and Alex Ross flew in to sign the first Crisis on Infinite Earths Hard Cover collection. In speaking with Marv and George, I expressed how much I loved Crisis and how much it meant to me. I told them that I was happy and upset about Barry dying, but loved the fact the he died the ultimate heroes death, giving the universe more time to fight the Anti-Monitor. I also expressed confusion as to why Hal Jordan wasn't even mentioned.

George, being the great and generous person that he is, drew this and gave it to me. It was so generous of him. And that is George.

Our lives were enhanced with George having been in it, and we're now the poorer for his being gone, but Heaven is better as it has gained an angel.

Flash and Green Lantern have always been friends through the years and through different iterations. A gift from the legend himself of these two symbolizes the friendship we all felt from Perez that is just as ever lasting.
