DescriptionAlternate colour preliminary cover by Earl Norem for Savage Sword of Conan. After checking the cover and the inside story of the #58 comic I'm pretty sure this is it, as Conan gets captured in the story, and the uniform on the soldier on this prelim cover is the same as the soldiers inside and on the cover of the published comic. This design has the surprised turn of the soldier as the main action while Conan is in bondage. While dramatic, it brings up why the soldier should be surprised. It looks great with an all black background.
