Absolutely fabulous! Alcala was the glue that pulled the Batman titles together and gave them a fabulously illustrative look befitting the Batman's look and origin as the dark, avenger of the night, regardless of who wa pencilling at the time. Truly wonderful stuff.
INCREDIBLE ART!!! This issue creeped me out because of Colan's super fluid brushwork. The story was great as well. I'm very jealous.
Powerfully compelling image that is boldly bringing in the fear into the mainstream Superhero title rather than the Detective mystery title. The feeling of horror this brings is amazing as Robin runs in fear.
Colan's figures jump off the page!
These pages you posted are all incredible! Thank you for sharing them with us on CAF! Huge congrats to you for adding them to your amazing collection!
The freaks come out at night! Great sequence Michael! Congrats!
This page tells the whole story. Original art doesn't get better than this!
Fabulous page with a horror twist! Colan was an amazing penciler and is really plussed by Alcala on inks!
You called this an odd story so feel free to pass the oddity along to me.
