DescriptionI’ve been a big fan of Josh Cassara since he first started on X-force and now that a lot of other people have noticed it is getting tougher and tougher to get the good stuff… so I’m glad I was able to get this one, which definitely qualifies as the good stuff! The cover to X-force 27 featuring the full team with Wolverine front and center battling a cerebrax infected forge! Joshes clean style just leans into the action shots and this cover with 6 characters fits the bill!Social/Sharing |

Hit the beat now!
X-Force in Action
Some guys will promise you a cover made in Heaven
But I'm gonna stick with my claws
Like waiting for Cerebax I might be getting
My dreams have all the mutants
Oh, baby
Is this a jewel 'cause six characters fits the bill?
And it's my love for art
Oh, I can't conceal, oh
Forge with infection
Drawing you things you really tentacle
Oh, baby they’re
X-Force into action
Am I a fool?
At least my friends think so
Cassara, Cassara
Baby
Whatever will be
Cassara, Cassara
Between Josh and me
(Oh-ho-oh)

Keeping a potentially crowded composition this clean is really a feat. Great cover!

Nice action, movement, composition, tones...this one's got it all, as they say! Also gotta love that little smirk on the possessed Forge :) And Josh's Wolvie rendition has creeped into being one of my favorites. Congrats, man!

This is going to sound a little esoteric but the best part about this IMO is the spatial arrangement of the figures. The reason the composition feels "clean" is because he does an excellent job of faking the distance/depth of the figures. Even subtle little stuff like how Forge's boots don't quite finish contribute to the illusion of depth.

There are so many pouches, it could be a 90s cover! ;) Wolvie's doing his beserker spittle thing, too. And I don't know why, but I love the spectacles on Hank. It just makes me smile that he has them on in the middle of a battle. Excellent composition, imo. Congrats!

Clear and understandable action despite the numerous characters. Congrats.

I hope X-Force 27 is a real issue and you are not just trolling us with Marvel tentacle porn!

Really enjoy his work, great interview with him on CAF LIVE panel.
Cassara has become an artist I really enjoy, his art is beautiful and tells great stories with it, so consumable. He is also so great in person.
