DescriptionAnother one of my commissions at Lake Como Art Festival 2022 was this Karmen by the incredibly kind and warm-hearted Guillem March. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a time when his table was quite slow. While he did some very detailed, cheap remarks, I wanted something a bit more elaborate – all his art was set up by Kirby’s Comic Art.We spoke a bit about how the book moved me to tears, his art specifically (and that amazing double page splash of Catalina flying over Mallorca, which I asked Guillem to sign as well in my book). It’s not very necessary, but for some reason, I wanted my book to be signed twice. This commission was his main option for at the show & he worked on this after the first day of the show. He finished it up while I was there to pick it up the day after, and we chatted some more. I love how care-free Karmen looks in her "danse macabre"; how detailed & three-dimensional the ribs are, and the pink signature (which I asked for specifically, as it fits the colour scheme of the book). The English version by Image Comics was released earlier this month, right around the time of the convention. Just to hammer home my point: “Karmen” was one of the most emotional reads & best books I read in a while. Social/Sharing |

This piece of art moved me to buy Karmen from Comixology. March really knows how to make bones exciting. Congrats.

Thanks, Harry! I think that's the best kind of compliment! Enjoy the ride - it's a great read!

The bright fresh face with the freckles and hair do make a great contrast to that spooky skeleton look that is shown in that pose.

And fits extremely well with how she's portrayed in the book! A 10/10 piece in both execution and the reasoning for said execution. Thanks for the comment, Marcus!
