Description

This is his original design and concepts for Roar from his creator owned book, The Plot Holes. Sean self published the book in June 2020. The story featured a group of fictional characters that banded together to hop from one book to another to keep them from demise. The group was made up of a unique cast of characters and styles.

These designs were published in the back of the trade paperback and hardcover books.

Process! 😻 The best artists really work out everything about their characters, and you can see here why Sean Murphy hit the scene with such a bang. The whole character is right there, and he fills in character details like a novelist. And he made it look sweet and finished, too. Very cool add!

A unique cast, no doubt, includin Roar here! Sweet B&W line art, and I like how his fur is blue-ish in the colors - nice contrast with his costume. More of these a comin'?! Either way, congrats!

Handsome character concept page by Sean Murphy! I'm not familiar with Plot Holes, but if this character design is any indication, I think I'd like it. But then, I've thoroughly enjoyed every Sean Murphy book I've ever read. Fun pick-up!
