You want first appearances? This page has first appearances.
Two of them, actually. Lion-Mane and Fadeaway Man are here,
but we've seen those villains before. No, this is the first
time we come across Hummingbird (center of the page) and Lasso
(dressed in cowboy fashion, as befits his name).

If you haven't heard of either character before, that's because
you weren't reading "Hawkman" in 2005. Hummingbird was the psycho
bomber who enjoyed killing the innocent. Truly, she was bad news.
Lasso was the ineffectual member of the gang who didn't deserve to
grace a comic book. If I remember correctly, he used his rope to lasso
Hawkman one time. Didn't hurt him. Lasso had maybe two panels where he
did anything other than look like a poser.

At the end of their five issue run, both Hummingbird and Lasso were
transported away from Louisiana as punishment for their crimes.
Hummingbird found herself caged in Punjab, India, and under the
watchful eye of Aalok, the Elephant Warden. Presumably, she'll spend
an eternity in that cage. Meanwhile, Lasso finds himself stranded on
a snow-covered mountaintop, seemingly hundreds of miles away from
civilization. Without food, supplies, or even his cowboy hat. In
western terms, Lasso is all hat and no cattle. He's gonna die.

I guess the lesson is, mess with Hawkman, you pay the price. Even if
you're Lasso.
