Description

My own character idea. Paul Thomas Geist (Paul T. Geist) was a homicide detective in New Orleans when, while off duty, he and his fiance were attacked by a group of men and he was fatally shot. A voodoo priest witnessed the attack and offered his help to Geist's fiance. She was so overwhelmed by his death, that she took up the offer of the voodoo priest and he performed a ritual on Geist that was supposed to bring him back to life by using some of the power of his fiance's soul. Something went wrong with the ritual and only Geist's spirit was brought back. His soul and his fiance are now somehow intertwined, and he get's his power by being physically near her. The closer he is to her, the more of his body can materialize. When they are apart, he becomes weaker. It is unknown what will happen if she dies. He uses his ectoplasmic appendages and "cape" to manipulate things in our physical world.
