This was one of my favorite story arcs when I was getting back into comic books as an adult after a several year hiatus. This was our first look at Maki Matsumoto, aka Lady Bullseye, out of costume and as a lawyer. On this page we learned about her plot to convince the parents of Milla Donovan (Matt Murdock's wife at the time) to take custody of their daughter and take her away from Murdock. In addition she hired a PI to dig up dirt on Murdock.

It's been great to see the third panel used as her primary, non-costume image on several websites and on the Marvel site. Thanks to Mark Hay at Splash Page Comic Art.

In spite of many recommendations to do so, I've yet to read either the Bendis or Waid runs on Daredevil, but I've always loved Michael Lark's work on this book and the composition and beautifully balanced blacks on this page is a perfect example of why.

Lark did stellar work on this series, whether it was the superhero action stuff or the drama of Matt Murdock's civilian life like we see here. A fantastic pickup!
