Over the years, Elfquest has been self-published by the Pinis off and on as well as by Marvel Comics, DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics. Offered here is 9x12" sheet of textured Canson art paper bearing pastel original art by Wendy Pini, featuring the Wolfrider Elf character Moonshade. This convention portrait was created at the 1979 San Diego Comic-Con, held at the San Diego Convention Center, U.S. Grant Hotel. Pini has signed and dated art at lower left. Bottom left margin has 1/8" spot of staining, o/w art remains clean and Exc. Elfquest original art by Pini rarely comes to market as the Pinis donated their archives to Columbia University's permanent collection.
