Yowza! That is one incredible Wally Wood page! Beautifully drawn and inked throughout, but that final image....Wow!
Wally's Thunder Agents are criminally underappreciated
Wally Wood in a master class all alone. Love every bit of detail in this one.
Great Get! Anythig by Wally is good to have abd you got a great one!
Wally Wood pieces are like bottles of fine, vintage wine. And this one is ultra fine. Love that last panel. Congrats on a great addition!
A great vintage piece from the 60's West ,Congrats !
That's great!
That panel can be clipped and used in any number of doomsday stories. Sadly it can be used even today.
Fantastic stuff, West. Atom bomb imagery has long been sought after in comics and art. People often focus on the covers, but there are plenty of people who buy interior pages with them as well. Great stuff!
Is this a sub category of collecting? I know of one collector who likes buying cave related art as they are into potholing.
Congratulations on a wonderful page; pure Wood magic! A better quality scan would be MUCH appreciated though! :)
Great to have that roll call in the top tier, but yes - that last panel is outrageously good. Such crisp lines.
I don't think anyone would be shouting wow that close to atomic explosions. More likely arrrrgh as they died of radiation related illnesses later on. They tried crap like this. Depleted uranium shells. That didn't work out too well. Killing your own troops down the line is not a good result. Not that the ones in charge cared. After all, they were not the ones firing them or fighting in the poisoned environs. Mini rant over. What a super duper page of artwork.
Thunder Agents is outside my nostalgia area, but man does this page impress me. The inks are just extraordinary
