9x12 ink and screentone on bristol board

This is the only piece of art I've ever won at the Heroes Con art auction. I was delighted to win it, as Nick is one of my very favorite modern comic artists dating back to that super weird Vengeance book he did with Joe Casey for Marvel. I struck out on getting on his sketch list before the show, so winning this felt like a double win. You know, it was sort of a triple win, because I only managed to land 3 sketches at a show that's known as a convention sketch Mecca. Getting this piece helped salvage my spirit. I actually caught him working on the piece at his table before the auction; so that was kinda neat too.

I picked up all 3 issues of Ghost Cage from Nick at his table at the show. I haven't yet had a chance to read them but I'm really looking forward to it!
