Sam Kieth's ZERO GIRL #1

I first discovered Sam Kieth’s work when I stumbled upon “The Maxx.” 
After the local comic shop closed down, I never finished the series, but 
that’s probably okay. I was told by friends that the series didn’t finish 
the series, either. It just stopped.
 
After ending “The Maxx”, the next series Keith wrote and drew was 
the five-issue “Zero Girl.” Published by DC’s Homage Comics, it wasn’t 
reprinted in trade paperback form until IDW came along to do the job. 
It’s another interesting, not exactly linear, story that either grabbed readers 
or left them scratching their heads. 
 
This is page 16 from issue #1. Our heroine, Amy Smootster, is being 
tormented by the trio of mean girls who would haunt her throughout 
the story. On this page, Amy is the bespectacled figure on the bottom 
right. For the first time, Zero Girl is using her powers against her 
enemies. And while rolls of toilet paper aren’t the most frightening 
weapons, they’re more impressively frightening when they gain teeth 
on the following page.
