Murphy Anderson should have inked all of Kirby's New Gods books. Kirby's Jimmy Olsen caused too much uproar at DC. It was a mistake by Carmine. Jimmy Olsen should never have been done by Kirby. He could have introduced all the concepts in Mr Miracle. If Carmine had allowed Kirby to concentrate on just the three 4th World books with Anderson as the inker, the series would have done much better, in my opinion. Maybe let Colletta do New Gods......maybe.
The King! Nice comedy page. I love the crowded second panel, with the sideways glance from Flipper Dipper, checking for trouble.
Kirby seized the opportunity at DC to revive some of his Golden Age favorites.
