Justice League of America #233-236 (DC, 1984)

Created as four connected covers that formed a larger image (which was also used as a promo poster), this was the first appearance of the new "Justice League: Detroit" and three new members: Vibe, Gypsy, and Steel. Vixen has previously appeared twice and even had her own solo book that was a victim of the "DC Implosion" and subsequently appeared in Canceled Comics Cavalcade. Steel was a (pardon the pun) re-tooled version of Captain Steel who was a retcon Golden Age character. This version was the original's grandson. Returning JLA members included Aquaman, Zatanna, Martian Manhunter, Elongated Man, and Sue Dibny. Many of the characters from this series (or versions of them) have appeared in the CW Network's "Arrowverse".
