Bolland at his best showing Dredd against the odds! No detail is missed to make this carry the meticulous quality he's so well known for throughout his career.

The detail is amazing, but for me, it's the hilarious and absurd word balloon that stamps this one as uniquely Bolland. (Though I never actually bothered to ask: was he the one who actually wrote them??)

It does not look like Bolland handwriting at top. I reckon editorial. Love the example of Bolland at his most 'Virgil Finlayest'

congratulations Maichael, I know this cover very well, it has been in my binder for 30 years, I think it is one of the most beautiful Bolland covers ever! the yellowed balloon has always been like this, it's a bit annoying, when it was hung on the wall, I had another baloom printed on white paper and left it resting on it with a (acid free post-it glue) I assure you that it improves considerably. best Maicol
