DescriptionBill Stout has done deep paleontological research into dinosaurs, and is considered an expert when it comes to illustrating exact renderings of specific genera and species of those prehistoric creatures for museum murals and books. So, when Flesk published 'William Stout: Prehistoric Life Murals' (2009) those who preordered the ltd HC edition [mine is 585/600] and paid extra were allowed to pick a dinosaur of their own choice to be drawn in the book. Figuring I'd stump him, i picked Cryolophosaurus Ellioti only recently discovered in 1991. Turns out Cryolophosaurus was discovered by Stout's friends (!) paleontologist Dr William Hammer and geologist David Elliot, for whom it is named in part, so Bill had no trouble summoning it up in exact detail, when I picked this up from him at his table next to the Flesk table at SDCC 2009; image area 7x11"Social/Sharing |
