Description
Simply one of the best images of the Joker ever! Looking regal and respectable, you wouldn't guess that just two issues earlier he beat Batman's sidekick near-to-death with a crowbar.
The story arc "A Death in the Family" was quite controversial, not because it killed off Jason Todd. But because of the way it killed off Jason Todd. As a publicity stunt, DC set up a 1-900 call-in line for readers to vote on either killing or saving Jason Todd (Robin II). The powers-that-be hadn't counted on two important factors: 1) Jason Todd was at the time not very popular with most readers, and 2) "You can't trust the Public". This is a lesson learned again years later by the British Government which resulted in "Boaty McBoatface".
