Such a fun cover This is the cover to X-Men Legends issue 2 by Jim Rugg. Jim said he drew this cover on a piece of paper from a never used pad of paper that was his grandmothers that she had given him 20 years ago. As you can see it’s a line pad and he tried his color pens and pencils on the bottom of the page. Here we get a great image of Havok Wolverine and the Best from the X-men. This story is written by Roy Thomas and is a new story that is to take place between Hulk 181 and Giant Size X-Men 1 to connect the storyline.

The lined paper is great to keep the look of the cover as a drawing in our realm.

Big congrats to you Brian! I saw this at Heroes and thought it was stunning up close. Rugg's pen pieces are are so unique and this is a fantastic one, not to mention it's a cover.

Tyler you may have been the person looking at it prior to me, I went to Ed and Jim's booth first thing when I got it, somoeone was looking at this when they moved and I looked I grabbed it - I do think the picture doesnt do the colored pencils justice
