Description

Jack �King� Kirby and Bruce Berry - Kamandi #19 Original Art (DC, 1974).

Jack Kirby produced original stories for Kamandi longer than any of the other DC titles he worked on during the early 1970s. A total of 40 issues with Kirby stories. Here, "The Last Boy of Earth" meets "The Last Gang in Chicago" on this page. The story allowed Kirby to return to his roots of noir gangster street criminals. I�m a fans of his In The Days of the Mob, published just three years earlier (see the original art in my gallery) I'm happy to associate another piece with criminals!

Jack Kirby ha prodotto storie per Kamandi pi� a lungo di qualsiasi altro titolo DC su cui ha lavorato nei primi anni '70, per un totale di 40 numeri. In questa bella pagina d�azione Kamandi incontra "L�Ultima Banda di Chicago" ed un gruppo di scimmie nemiche con il loro capo Ugash. Questa bella e particolare storia ha permesso Kirby di tornare alle sue radici sui criminali di strada e gangster. Sono un fan del suo capolavoro In The Days of the Mob, pubblicato solo tre anni prima (vedi la tavola originale nella mia galleria) e sono felice di associare un altro pezzo con i criminali, anche se androidi!

Un albo di Kamandi della Corno fu uno dei primissimi fumetti non Disney che lessi da bambino. Una tavola che ti ruberei molto volentieri! 😉
