Description12x19" artboard featuring mixed media art with screentone accents by frequent "Sandman Mystery Theatre" artist Guy Davis. Art depicts Sandman (Wesley Dodds) wearing gas mask and holding his gas gun as whip-wielding villain The Scorpion looms in background Dodds' girlfriend and confidant Dian Belmont appears at lower right with The Scorpion's alter ego Terrence Pritchard behind her. Top margin has handwritten "Sandman Mystery Theatre: The Scorpion" pencil notation, and this art was used for promotional purposes in a retailers' sales catalog to promote "The Scorpion" storyline that ran through "Sandman Mystery Theatre" #17-20 in 1994. Davis has signed at bottom right of art and again below in margin.Social/Sharing |
