Description

Digital illustration inspired by the Talon character from A. A. Warren's "Talon The Slayer." The female character started out as another character from the book, but evolved into an original character named Tannu Jassa. Her story in short: A former slave on an Orion pleasure planet, she discovers she has latent magic power that is triggered by the energy from Talon's glowing red eye, the destiny marked by his dragon claw tattoo, their shared passion or a combination of all three. They survive the destruction of one world in the hopes of saving countless others.

The whole thing (meaning the book series) has a definite Conan, He-Man and Thundarr the Barbarian vibe, so I tried to incorporate all that into this piece. Started traditionally with pencil on paper and finished digitally - inking and coloring/painting - using the Huion GT191 Pen Display and Photoshop.
