Description

A SDCC 2022 commission pickup that I was extremely pleased with. I gave Mike a choice of characters and to my pleasant surprise he chose to take on Ramona Flowers. I always thought Mike's color work would be a great fit with Ramona, but I also know that she's kind of an "outside the box" choice and oftentimes artists don't like to venture too far out that box. Fortunately, Mike likes taking on different characters and he delivered a beautiful result with this one. In a time where it's a challenge to stretch the spending dollars for nice art pieces, particularly commissions, this one was money well spent. Thanks to Tatiana for helping arrange the logistics on this one.

So much fun to see Ramona depicted in a different style from what Bryan Lee O'Malley imprinted into our brains. Mike did a wonderful job here.

That's a great pallete of colors by McKone to compliment her confident pose and stylish fashion. She can hip check hockey players to the boards any day.
