Description

It was a goal of mine to get a Death sketch from Marc at SDCC and I can happily report that it was mission accomplished. Marc has drawn Death in many different iterations, so I wasn't sure what version of her I would end up with since I didn't specify any particular "look". I figured I was going to get a pretty good piece regardless, but this was honestly better than I even expected and I was thrilled to see this one when he handed it over to me. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted this to turn out like when I made the request, but I knew this was what I wanted the second I saw it.

Killer piece! I like how the hair is done, as it is not just a solid block filled in, but Hempel incorporates linestrokes like they were individual strands to give it a lively look.
