A page from the tie-in book from the 2017-2018 Dark Nights: Metal event where multiple evil counterparts of Batman from the Dark Multiverse (A shadow of the primary Multiverse full of deteriorating worlds formed by fears and nightmares) are led by the demon Barbatos and manage to breach and invade Prime Earth in a plot to plunge everything into the darkness.

This page shows The Drowned; a female Batman counterpart from Earth -11 where all the characters are gender-swapped from how we conventionally know them. On that Earth, Batman (Bryce Wayne) wages war on all metahumans on her earth after her lover Sylvester Kyle (Catman?) is killed. After seemingly killing all the metahumans on her Earth, the Atlanteans come out of hiding only to become Bryce's next target. The Atlanteans manage to completely drown and submerge Gotham causing Bryce to adapt by performing genetic modifications on her body allowing her to control water and becoming "The Drowned".
