First page of the Cosmic Survivor: The Hunt for Nebulon #1

Drew this around Aug 2014, first issue released in 2015. Had trouble learning how to color and size my comics due to epicly miscalculating page proportions because I liked the large size and figured I could fix it later. It should have been 11 x 17 and paid for that with weeks and weeks of fix-up & redraw time in photoshop. Anyhow, this opening splash page got moved to Pg 2 during photoshop & storytelling fixes. This isn't my first comic but my first dramatic superhero comic in print so learned as I went.

Penciling and inking took me about a month since I prelim and write my stories in a relatively realized way before I start. Coloring and lettering took me several months because I was figuring out my approach to coloring comics and how to do a space comic so it got released in 2015.

Cosmic Survivor Issue 2 is 80% drawn but have to clear time aside to ink & color which has been difficult to do since I have to do this as a side gig but I so look forward to get back into it. I may post some pencil or ink preview pages of that here if there is an interest. It will be a 4-5 issue limited series. My favorite format for comic storytelling.
