I'm sure everyone will be talking about that close-up, but I really like that bottom panel for some reason. Great inks throughout. And of course the hand fetish guy in me loves those last two hand panels. LOL
A face only a mother (or Marvel fan) could love!
Great page. I loved Silvestri on Wolverine. This issue was a couple issues after Sabretooth tells Wolverine he is his dad. Great times...
The Morlocks never get a break! Great page.
The face is kind of Silvestri and Green doing an EC horror host riff as they put a lot of attention to it. The first panel is a nice set up with them at the entrance of the tunnel as we see before us the gears and debris blocking their entrance.
This was the peak period for the Wolverine title for me. I was working in a comic book store when this came out, and there were times when people were talking more about Silvestri's work on this book than they were about Lee or Liefeld on the team books. Silvestri was good on Uncanny X-Men, but he became a superstar on Wolverine. Congrats on the pickup from an amazing run!
To me, Marc Silvestri became MARC SILVESTRI on his Wolverine run. No shade on his Uncanny work, but this was where he really hit his stride. Congrats on nabbing a page from the run!
Wow! I loved Silvestri's run on Wolverine! This page brings up lots of memories of reading and rereading the series. Love the panel with the grotesque closeup and the final panel with its depiction of the ruined Morlock tunnels! Great pick-up!
Always thought Masque of the Morlocks was a fun character! Nice example here, and loving that panel layout and subsequent storytelling, too. Congrats!
Silvestri knows how to make it flow!
