Description

I picked up almost the full run of Seekers from a 50 cent bin sale back in 2002. I saw it was Vertigo and shared many artists with Sandman and that was good enough for me! It turned out to be one of my favorite Vertigo books. I loved the story and art, and the existential message within. Led me down the rabbit hole to seek out more information about Meher Baba, DeMatteis’ inspiration for the story. If you’re not familiar with him he’s a pretty interesting individual.

Hopefully this will be the first of more Zulli pages in my collection. He has such a beautiful and delicate style. This page is lacking in the fantastical, where he excels, but I’m glad to have a Seekers and a Zulli example for the collection. Also, love the Bedford Falls reference and the story element about devotion to his daughter.

If anyone has any Seekers pages that feature The Magician, or the angels or aliens that they are looking to let go please let me know. Also would be interested in Love Street or Dreaming Zulli pages.

First four panels is Zulli putting on a showcase of different scenes requiring different skills. It then pivots as the last three are story bridged from the center panel for some of his cartooning and character building. All striking from an overall design of a page.
