DescriptionIn 1976, before Star Wars hit, space barbarians in the vein of John Carter were a part of the larger sword-and-sandals craze. Starfire was a female version of the trope, here aided by her brutish friend Thump to survive a fight with a tank. The series ran eight issues, and Marv Wolfman would repurpose the name Starfire for his own curvy space princess a few years later.Social/Sharing |

Beauty and the beast images for some nice contrast! Vosburg and Vinnie was a great team during this era for DC.
