Description

Jor-El and rocket sending baby Kal-El to earth by Thomas Boatwright. Haunting image of Kal-El's mother Lara by Robert Hack. Lara resembles beautiful long-gone actress Joan Bennett (not to be confused with Joan Crawford, Joan Blondell, Joan Fontaine, etc.), seen here in attached photo in the film noir Scarlett Street (1945). Miss Bennett later played matriarch Elizabeth Stoddard Collins in the 1960s supernatural soap opera Dark Shadows.

Fantastic! The takes are from the golden age of cinema and sci-fi serials as it was also the age of Superman's origin.
